Elementary Parents - IMPORTANT! This week is Parent Teacher conferences. You should have been contacted by your students teachers to arrange a time foe a video chat or a phone call. If your student is a distance learner, report cards will be mailed out today! If you would like an email of your report card please call Ms Connie. Students who are attending school in person, will have a large, sealed manila envelope in their backpack. Visiting fans: 2 per visiting student-athlete Masks/social distancing: All fans must wear a mask upon entering the school/Dog House gymnasium. Picture retake day is coming! Monday November 9, 2020. If you want your students pictures retaken, simply return your original package on Picture on Retake Day. You can still order on mylifetouch.com with your picture day ID EVT22XXDX- this is the Elementary retake ID

Starting TODAY, Oct 30, 2020. Distance learning families will need to pick up food bags in a different area. Food distribution will now be at west end of the elementary/ kindergarten drop off area. Ms Val will be waiting in the doorway, please be patient and she will bring the food out

Volleyball Districts Update: Lady Bulldogs fall to Thompson Falls tonight. They will play in Bigfork at 5:30 Friday 10/30. Good luck ladies!

District Volleyball Info: Please keep in mind that districts is a post season event which means activity passes do not work at these events, even when we are hosting. Admission prices will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Volleyball Update: This Saturday's games vs. Florence have been cancelled. They will not be rescheduled.

Families with students that were close contacts have been notified tonight.

Covid Update: Tonight we learned we had one staff member and one student test positive for Covid-19 in the middle school with quick tests that will need to be verified. At this time both cases will be treated as positives and we will begin helping the Heath Department contact trace in the morning. If there are any students that will need to be quarantined we will be contacting you in the morning. We are working on contacts and names tonight. Safety of our staff and students will remain our top priority.

Just a reminder, tonight's football game has been cancelled. Troy had to forfeit due to low numbers. Last regular season game next Friday vs. Charlo.

The away game scheduled for Oct 19th vs. Loyola has been cancelled. We will be playing Polson at home on Tuesday the 20th at 4:00.

Congrats St. Ignatius School District #28 School Board - Home of the '2020 School Board of the Year’ for the State of Montana!!! Awesome 👍👍👍 Congrats to all of you for the great work! The School Board has overcome great obstacles with positive core values and dignity. The Board ran a bond and after three attempts got it passed for a new Career and Technical Education Facility, Gym, Locker Rooms and Event Bathrooms. The Board drove finding a way to replace the old district office with two new elementary classrooms. The board continues to do what is right for kids with a focus and sacrifice for the very best with very little. The nomination for this board is for the countless hours of planning great systems, facilities, transportation, extra-curricular, negotiations, calendar and professional training to the St. Ignatius School District. This is a well-deserved honor. They are wonderful to work for and well respected by our community and school. I also want to mention the outstanding work of Adam Hawkaluk as the Board Clerk and Rasena Christopher as the Board Assistant Clerk. Parents, Staff and Students of School District #28 it was reported today that we had our first positive case of Covid in school. The Health Department reported that we had a student in the middle school that tested positive for Covid-19. Due to the fact that the Health Department is short-handed we will need to close the middle school down tomorrow, Wednesday Oct. 14 for further contact tracing of all students who may have been affected. We want to be safe and make sure all students who were in close contact have been notified. Students that are 14 day quarantined have been notified that they were a close contact and the health department will notify them of the recommended action they should take. This one day closure will give the Health Department the rest of the week to continue contact tracing and notifying any other students or staff that may also need to be quarantined. If you have not been contacted by the health department all other middle school students will be back in school on Monday, Oct. 19. We will continue our efforts in keeping our school safe, effective and efficient. Siblings of students who were quarantined are able to return to school as normal tomorrow in the elementary and high school. If your middle school student has nowhere to go tomorrow, send them to school and we will find a safe place for them to work as we continue to contact trace.
